Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Gated Community in Laguna Niguel, CA. You will protect residents and guests by controlling access, monitoring entry points, and responding to incidents with professionalism in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Gated Communityin Laguna Niguel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and assisting residents, guests, and vendors with professionalism. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, document security-related activity, and help deter unauthorized access. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
