Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, seeks a full-time Front Desk Visitor Engagement Security Officer in Los Angeles, CA. You will greet visitors, manage access, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents while upholding safety and service standards.

Responsibilities include logging visitors, assisting tenants and contractors, and maintaining professional communication with staff. A background check and licenses may be required; CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must lift up to 20 pounds.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal histories considered per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required only for driving positions.

You will greet visitors, manage access procedures, monitor activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access to the building lobby, verify visitor credentials as required, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Receive incoming calls, provide directions and general building information, and communicate professionally with tenants, guests, and authorized personnel.
• Monitor cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other security-related equipment from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and completing required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
