Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for full-time entry screening in Anchorage, AK. This role focuses on safeguarding clients, screening personnel and deliveries, and maintaining a secure environment within a logistics and distribution location.

You will monitor access points, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and conduct patrols while delivering courteous service to employees and visitors. The schedule is shift-based and aligned with site requirements.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, drivers, packages, and deliveries; verify access credentials and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points, visitor activity, and screening equipment; report unauthorized access attempts and unusual activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter, while documenting observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
