Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, identification, and visitor authorization according to campus procedures.
• Control entry to academic, residential, administrative, and event locations; maintain access logs and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly using established protocols and contacting leadership or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Management in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a higher education location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, report security-related concerns, and help support a welcoming campus environment. Pay Rate: $16.20 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, identification, visitor authorization, and/or delivery permissions in accordance with campus procedures.
• Control entry to assigned academic, residential, administrative, and/or event locations; maintain accurate access-related logs and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting Allied Universal leadership or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
