Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time on N Homewood Ave to protect a campus community. You will perform regular patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide courteous customer service in line with site policies. The role emphasizes reliability and integrity in a dynamic security environment. Shifts are daytime, with pay at $17.75 per hour, commensurate with duties and experience. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, students, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the automotive location, including parking areas, entrances, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the assigned property, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
