Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol in Bronx, NY. You will monitor and protect a campus environment, patrol assigned areas, and assist students, staff, and visitors while upholding site policies and emergency procedures.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $21.30 / Hour. Schedule: DayTime and evening shifts with multiple blocks across Tue-Sat.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors and campus partners while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and report through proper channels.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity and policy violations.
• Maintain a professional presence and assist campus guests as needed.

As a Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while responding to security-related concerns. Job Schedule: DayTime Tue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, academic spaces, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate campus resources and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through required communication and reporting procedures.
• Maintain a visible professional presence and provide directions, escorts, and general assistance to support a welcoming campus environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
