Job summary

Allied Universal in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a Security Officer full time to protect clients across cultural institutions and other sites.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide excellent customer service, and respond to concerns with integrity while maintaining a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing may be required per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the care center, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and maintain awareness of individuals requiring assistance within the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
