Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required as a condition of employment in line with applicable laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required as allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, providing information, and reporting suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
