Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Bicycle Patrol in Ventura, CA. You will patrol by bike, deter unauthorized activity, and deliver exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. A valid driver's license is required for driving positions, and you may be asked to pass a background check and drug screen where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license per policy requirements.
• Able to ride a bike.
• Preferred ability to ride long periods.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear daily activity and incident reports and patrol documentation per site requirements.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Able to ride a bike.
• Preferred ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
