Job summary

Allied Universal in Deptford, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Badge Administration to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access and respond to security concerns while delivering professional customer service.

This role offers a stable schedule with shifts Fri–Sun and opportunities for training, advancement, and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security experience.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor records.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the retail location and perimeter to deter incidents and identify concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and maintenance issues in a professional manner.

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Administration in Deptford, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM
• Sat: 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM
• Sun: 09:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns while maintaining a professional presence in a regulated retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
