Job summary

Allied Universal in Arlington, VA is seeking a Security Guard to protect personnel and property in an aerospace/defense oriented facility. The role involves patrolling, monitoring access, verifying badges, and responding to incidents with calm, professional communication.

You will support site procedures, maintain records, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense location by following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain entry records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and policy violations to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Guard Security Clearance Patrol Operations in ARLINGTON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and badge activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. Pay Rate: $26.27 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:45 PM - 10:45 PM
• Fri 02:45 PM - 10:45 PM
• Sat 02:45 PM - 10:45 PM
• Sun 02:45 PM - 10:45 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense billing operations location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain required entry records, and report irregularities in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
