Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, team members, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Monitor assigned areas for unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations, reporting observations through established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency services as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Maintain required reports, incident documentation, and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
