Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Emergency Support in Portsmouth, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare setting, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to security-related needs with integrity.

The role requires carrying out procedures, deterring incidents, and coordinating with hospital personnel and responders as needed. Full-time schedule and night/evening shifts are included.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and access-control procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Emergency Support in Portsmouth, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $22.23 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
