Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Unarmed Airport Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA. You will monitor airport facilities, assist passengers and staff, and maintain safety and order.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Airport Access Controlin Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and airport tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned airport property to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
