As a Security Officer Full Time - Afternoons in Milan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will deliver professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and contractor entry in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
