Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - Aerospace Companyin San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service. You will help maintain a secure environment through clear communication, attention to detail, and a visible presence that helps deter incidents. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense manufacturing location.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, authorizations, visitor registrations, and delivery documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry points, access control systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment, reporting irregularities and access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, production areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and restricted access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
