Job summary

Allied Universal in Ladson, SC seeks a Security Officer (Full Time Access Verification) to monitor access, screen personnel, and patrol facilities at a busy distribution site.

You will provide customer service, enforce site policies, and respond to incidents, ensuring safety and compliance while maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• Basic computer or tablet use is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Must meet age requirements: 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Verification in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will monitor access points, screen personnel and visitors, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including checking identification and controlling access to designated areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points, observe activity around the facility, and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
