Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Governance in Lakeland, FL. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and patrol the site to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Role requires at least 1 year in security, a valid guard card is preferred, and compliance with background checks and drug screening where permitted. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive pay rate and shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control access at the food and beverage location by verifying credentials and directing deliveries.
• Observe entry/exit points, report unusual activity or security concerns to management.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies following site procedures and coordinating with responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access and identify concerns.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the food and beverage production location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing visitor passes, and directing authorized personnel and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Observe entry and exit points, loading areas, and other assigned access locations; report unusual activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
