Job summary

Allied Universal, Sunnyvale, TX, seeks a Security Officer for Full Time Access Control Patrol. You will monitor designated areas, perform routine patrols, maintain visibility, and support access control while delivering excellent customer service on a busy retail site.

Position type is full time with a daytime schedule and a competitive pay rate. Candidates should have security experience and be at least 18 years old, with background checks and drug screening as required.

Qualifications

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail employees while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures, contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or retail employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
