Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and TSA-issued TWIC. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorization, and entry requirements for individuals, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate access‑control records, visitor logs, key or badge accountability, and required reports using site systems and documentation practices.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, gate areas, and the surrounding business perimeter to help identify unauthorized entry, unusual activity, and security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
