Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Console in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a residential community, where you will manage entry points, verify visitor access, monitor activity, and provide welcoming customer service. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate with residents and guests, and support a respectful environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with community procedures.
• Control access to residential community amenities and common areas while maintaining professional, courteous communication with residents and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the community perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
