Job summary

Allied Universal in Savannah, GA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Control to monitor entry points, verify credentials and manage visitor access at a manufacturing and industrial site. You will deliver professional customer service and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication.

This full-time role offers a daytime/evening schedule, pay rate of $17.50 per hour, and benefits including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and help control authorized movement throughout the facility.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document daily activities, unusual occurrences, and access-control concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
