Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Access Control at a distribution center in La Habra, CA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor activity, and provide customer service to on-site clients and visitors.

This role offers full-time hours with an afternoon shift. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Guard Card/license preferred, and 18+ (21+ for armed)

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Distribution Center in La Habra, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to support a secure environment. You will maintain a professional presence, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct personnel to appropriate check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
