As a Security Officer Full Time 2nd Shift in Covington, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a shelter location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, verifying authorized entry, documenting activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents through a visible, professional presence. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at the shelter location.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, issuing and collecting credentials, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
