Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security company, invites you to join as a Part Time Security Officer in Clyde, OH. You will protect client sites, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service while working weekend shifts.

This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to use our Claim a Shift platform to find additional hours. You will patrol, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain access-control records.
• Coordinate visitor, contractor, and delivery personnel access per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations for appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a manufacturing location; verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain required access-control records.
• Coordinate visitor, contractor, and delivery personnel access in accordance with site requirements and established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
