The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority - LVCVA is seeking a security officer to patrol its property, respond to safety and security situations, and perform escorts for guests and ambassadors. The role emphasizes professional appearance, clear reports, and de-escalation in interactions with the public.
Candidates should have a high school degree or GED, plus a preferred associate degree or equivalent, and substantial law enforcement or military experience.
The expectation of this position is that the security officer primarily provides patrol of LVCVA property within assigned areas in order to react and respond to all matters involving the safety and security of the people and property while acting within the scope of their authority and training.

This position is expected to be proactive and attentively reactive to situations, inquiries, concerns and opportunities for growth of the Customer Safety Department. Successful service will allow members to focus on their business responsibilities and duties resulting in a more effective LVCVA operation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

In addition, all ambassadors are responsible for eliminating and reporting hazards and incidents.
