Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Indianapolis, IN. You will protect clients across healthcare locations, conduct patrols, verify access, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role involves driving shifts with a schedule including nights, and requires a valid driver’s license, 6 months security experience, and a background check. Health and retirement benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• LFG: background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors while following site-specific procedures and security policies at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials, report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
