Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations Assistant in Indianapolis, IN. You will use screening equipment to support access control, inspect items and personnel, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will be responsible for verifying credentials, monitoring entrances, and responding to incidents with professionalism. The role offers a stable schedule, competitive pay at $17.22 per hour, and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations Assistant in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to support access control, inspect items and personnel in accordance with site procedures, and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established access-control procedures.
• Inspect identification, credentials, packages, and/or personal items as required by site policies, escalating discrepancies or prohibited items to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, facility entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
