Job summary

Grand Hyatt Washington is seeking a Security Officer with flexible shifts to protect guests and associates at the downtown DC hotel. You will patrol, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns while maintaining professional conduct on-site.

Typical hours are 3:30pm–11:30pm with the need for weekend/holiday availability; compensation starts at $23.50/hour and increases to $24.00/hour after six months, with a full benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Experience in security roles is preferred and an SPO license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to stand long periods and walk moderate distances, with attentiveness to safety.

Responsibilities

• patrol and observe in/around the hotel building and grounds.

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the hotel guests and colleagues. This person will follow safety and security standards by patrolling and observing in/around the building, monitoring security cameras, completing incident reports, responding to emergencies, and other items as required. While this person will typically work from 3:30pm-11:30pm, we are looking for someone with flexibility to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays, for any shift including mornings and overnight.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.50, increasing to $24.00 after six months.
