Job summary

The Hyatt Hotels Corporation's Grand Hyatt Washington located in downtown Washington, D.C. is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time role with flexible scheduling. You will patrol the hotel, monitor cameras, file incident reports, and respond to emergencies to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues.

Typical shift is 3:30pm–11:30pm with flexibility for any day, including weekends and holidays. The hourly rate starts at $23.50 and increases to $24.00 after six months with comprehensive

Qualifications

• Previous security experience strongly preferred and SPO license (or ability to obtain one).
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.

• Ability to remain calm and act with care in potentially stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and observe in/around the building to ensure safety.

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the hotel guests and colleagues. This person will follow safety and security standards by patrolling and observing in/around the building, monitoring security cameras, completing incident reports, responding to emergencies, and other items as required. While this person will typically work from 3:30pm-11:30pm, we are looking for someone with flexibility to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays, for any shift including mornings and overnight.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.50, increasing to $24.00 after six months.
