Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a gas company in Everett, MA. The role includes unarmed patrols, credential verification, incident response, and daily reporting at a chemical/petrochemical site. Starting pay is $22.75 per hour with orientation and training provided.

Typical schedule runs Sunday through Thursday, 7 AM to 3 PM. Must be 18+ for unarmed roles with a HS diploma; background checks and drug screening are required.

As a Security Officer in Everett, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual conditions and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor-management procedures, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
