Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Security in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence halls, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, campus directions, and adherence to site-specific access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
