Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Front Desk Concierge in Columbia, SC. You will welcome visitors, manage access control, monitor security systems, and support a secure atmosphere at a commercial real estate location.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures. This is a full-time night shift position with a competitive pay rate and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background checks will be conducted as required by law.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and employees at a front desk by following site-specific security procedures.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials, issue passes, and maintain records.
• Answer calls, provide directions and information, and relay service requests to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor cameras and alarms from the front desk and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow emergency procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials as required, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Answer incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate visitor arrivals or service requests to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and promptly notifying appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
