Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Front Desk Security Officer in Los Angeles, CA to greet visitors, control access, monitor cameras, and provide excellent customer service at a commercial real estate site.

You will work a night shift with a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform and join a team that emphasizes integrity, teamwork, and safety in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Previous access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer or tablet skills preferred.
• Background check and drug screen will apply.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, manage access procedures, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor building entry points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Answer phones, provide directions and building information, receive deliveries, and support a professional, welcoming lobby environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Previous alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
