Job summary

Allied Universal in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Flex Visitor Reception to safeguard client sites across healthcare, education, finance, retail and more. The role offers varied shifts and opportunities to gain hands-on experience within a leading security team.

You will work 30–40 hours per week under our Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift program; shifts and locations change regularly to fit client needs.

Qualifications

• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Be able to travel the required distance.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aide customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
