Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer in Michigan to support client properties with a focus on safety and service. The role features non-armed duties across various shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) from Monday to Sunday, with a rate of pay of $17.60 per hour.

You will be part of a team protecting client sites and ensuring professional security presence at entry points and lobbies. Duties include assisting staff and visitors, patrolling areas, controlling access, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed work per Michigan CPL/LEOSA rules.
• Able to pass drug screening at hire and periodically thereafter.
• Must not have felony or certain misdemeanor convictions per state laws.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers professionally.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and incidents.
• Maintain a professional security presence in lobbies and entry points.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols as required by contract.
• Control access and verify IDs to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Maintain safety and enforce site policies; report safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and provide CPR/First Aid/AED if needed.
• Communicate with client staff and site supervisor; update on requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
