Job summary

DK Security in Michigan is seeking a Security Officer to protect client properties and maintain a secure environment. The role focuses on customer service, visibility, and proactive monitoring across shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include observing, reporting, access control, and patrols, with emphasis on safety and communication with clients and supervisors. This position is part-time and requires a clean background, physical stamina, and professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 and a Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder to perform armed work.
• Must pass a drug screen at hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must not have felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors as per state law.
• Must be able to sit/stand/walk for 8-12 hours and lift 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed).
• CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and professional conduct in client locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and incidents.
• Maintain security presence in lobby/reception/control areas.
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols as required.
• Control access and verify IDs to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR/First Aid/AED where needed.
• Communicate with client staff and site supervisor on security matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
