Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Flexible in Bensenville, IL. This part-time role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $18.25 per hour and the schedule includes daytime and Saturday night shifts. The role uses fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and offers opportunities to increase earnings via a scheduling platform across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel.
• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles) as stated for minimum requirements.
• Background investigation to be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site stakeholders.

As a Security Officer - Flexible in Bensenville, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
