Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Patrol in Washington, DC. The role offers 30–40 hours per week with a shift-flex scheduling program and growth opportunities within the organization.

You will patrol designated areas, respond to incidents, complete reports, and support clients with professional service. The position requires 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed), one year of security experience, and reliable

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary.
