Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Screening in Washington, DC. This role offers fixed shifts at a luxury retail site with flexible hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay is $22.66 per hour. Requirements include at least 2 years of security experience, ability to lift 20 pounds, access control familiarity, and a high school diploma.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Screening in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

Security Experience - 2+ Years

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and luxury retail guests while carrying out site‑specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, contractors, deliveries, and visitors in accordance with access‑control procedures for a high‑end retail location.
• Inspect bags, packages, and incoming merchandise as directed by site procedures, documenting observations and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas, entrances, receiving locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
