Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites applications for the part-time enhanced Security Officer role at McLean, VA. This position offers reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts and increase earnings.

Pay rate is $22.12 per hour, with a fixed anchor shift and the option to earn more through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and clients at a luxury retail location and follow site-specific security procedures.
• Verify visitor credentials and maintain visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, cameras, alarms, and other security systems from the front desk.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies following procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Records Coordinator in Mc Lean, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming visitors, clients, and associates at a luxury retail location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Manage front desk access by verifying visitor credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests according to established policies.
• Monitor entry activity, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from a stationary front desk post; report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain clear, accurate logs and communicate professionally with store leadership, employees, vendors, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
