Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Alarm Panel Operations in Trenton, NJ. This role offers reliable fixed hours with additional shift opportunities through our scheduling platform, designed for flexible, steady income.

The position pays $16.00 per hour, with a Friday 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM schedule. The role includes anchor shifts for six months and opportunities to scale to more shifts at other sites.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants subject to background investigation and drug screening.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school board personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and report unusual conditions to site personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 07:30 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate observations with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
