As a Security Officer - Flex Overnightin Reno, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Perform armed patrols of municipal buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeters to help identify and address suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem‑solving manner, coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points, conduct welfare checks, and provide a visible presence to help deter prohibited activity at government locations.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear, accurate reports while maintaining assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
