Allied Universal in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to protect people and property at a technology, media & telecom site. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professional customer service.

This role offers flexible shifts via our Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you. A minimum of 1 year security experience, a high school diploma, a background check, and a drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of security-related experience.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while enforcing site policies.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report access-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services when required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
