Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY. This role provides flexible, dependable hours with a six-month anchor shift commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities include welcoming tenants and visitors, responding to incidents, patrolling property areas, monitoring access, and completing daily reports. A NYS Security Guard License is required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and access points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Flex Day Shift Corporate Lobby Patrol in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
