Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering designated areas per access‑control requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of items, packages, and belongings as directed by site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas and perimeters, documenting observations.

As a Security Officer - Flex in PHOENIX, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.84 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering designated areas in accordance with established access‑control and screening requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of authorized items, packages, and belongings as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, access points, and the surrounding business perimeter, documenting observations and irregularities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
