Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Flex in Gilbert, AZ to provide reliable security services at a designated site.

You will work a fixed anchor shift with opportunities to pick up extra shifts; pay rate is $21.00 per hour; the role includes customer service, access control, and incident response.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer - Flexin Gilbert, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery traffic in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity through clear and timely reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
