Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Janesville, Wisconsin. The role involves protecting clients across retail environments by monitoring entries, verifying badges, assisting visitors, and patrolling premises.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors at a retail location by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verify credentials, greet authorized personnel and visitors, and maintain visitor access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, receiving areas, sales floors, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, access-related concerns, and unusual conditions in reporting procedures.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
