Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers and Firefighters/EMTs for a manufacturing company. Join us at our hiring events:

• Tuesday, May 13th - 10am-3pm
• Wednesday, May 14th - 10am-3pm
• Location: Embassy Suites by Hilton, 100 Conference Center Dr, East Peoria, IL 61611

Requirements:

• 18+ with High School Diploma or GED
• Valid IL Driver's License for 1+ Year
• Active PERC Card and 20 hr. certificate
• Flexible schedule, willing to work at least 2 shifts including weekends and overtime, and travel to different sites
• Comfortable standing/walking 8+ miles per shift for patrol roles
• Proficient with computers
• Ability to work without using phone during shift (8-12 hrs.)
• Complete First Aid/CPR training with us
• For Firefighter/EMT roles: EMT License and BOF Training required

Position Details

The Firefighter-EMT is responsible for safety and security, acting as a deterrent to crime, and reporting suspicious or unsafe acts. Qualifications include:

• At least 21 years old with high school diploma or equivalent
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• State and local licensing as required
• Health License as EMT or higher
• Current CPR/AED Certification
• Physical and Fit Test for SCBA
• Hazardous Materials Technician Certification (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120)
• Confined Space and Rope Rescue Certification (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146)
• Additional state-specific requirements for Firefighter EMT
• Successful background check and drug screening
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Valid Driver's License with at least one year driving experience for driving roles
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
• Firefighting duties including hose lines, fire pump operations, power tools, ladders, and SCBA gear
• Ability to work in various environments and lift up to 80 pounds occasionally
