Job Description

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a financial institution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential threats within the financial institution environment.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document and communicate any incidents or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal Security will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
